McKinney Gough Design is a fashion and costume design house based in Asheville, North Carolina. 

Artistic Director, McKinney Gough, is trained in a variety of design, sewing, seamstress, creative, building and hacking techniques. With Designers Holly Millar White and Morgen Joplin providing hair/wig and makeup artistry, McKinney Gough Design, is able to develop in house styling plans for magazine quality productions. We are excited to work with clients who have a unique vision for their digital marketing, product photography and advertising images. We specialize in using recycled and salvaged materials to build new pieces from old textiles. We continue to expand our knowledge and training in fashion, beauty, skin care, costume, theater, design, film and construction to craft new designs and create individual fashion solutions for marketing, fundraising, and stage and film productions. We are able to design and build custom costumes from your specifications or source from salvage and thrift locations in order to meet short deadlines and tight budgets for small non-profits.

Our design team is well suited to multimedia collaborations and has a network of industry professionals to assist in realizing the goals of our artists and our clients. We are proud of our 30 year connection to Asheville's constantly growing arts scene, it's desirability as a filming location, and it's burgeoning theater industry. 

Our clients are directors, theatre companies, dance companies, musicians, performers, production designers, artistic directors, photographers, hair and makeup artists, and cosplayers, dancers, and creative individuals.
